Do you "take" my insurance?

We happily submit claims to ALL dental insurance companies, and you will have coverage in our office. We are currently an in network provider with Delta Dental.  With that being said, we feel very strongly that insurance companies have no right to determine the appropriate treatment for our patients, so you will not find our names on many preferred provider lists. THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL NOT HAVE COVERAGE IN OUR OFFICE!  Please let us help you look into your coverage at our office.

Insurance companies will always have THEIR best interest in mind, not YOURS! This is wrong, plain and simple. We prefer to do things the traditional way, by establishing an excellent dentist-patient relationship and coming up with the most appropriate treatment plan together.

Dental insurance is a wonderful benefit. Think of it as a rebate or coupon of sorts. Your dental insurance will help defray the cost of your care and we are pleased to assist you in obtaining the maximum benefits. However, please keep in mind that the insurance contract is established between you as the patient and the insurance carrier. You are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance coverage. Our primary focus is to make sure that each patient receives the ultimate care to restore and preserve a healthy smile.

All paperwork is filed promptly after treatment. We will send you a monthly statement. Most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility. Your prompt remittance is appreciated.

We seek to deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients. If you should have any questions regarding your account, please contact us. Many times, a simple telephone call will clear up any misunderstandings.

For your convenience, we accept checks, cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. We also offer a flexible payment plan through CareCredit.

Important Insurance Facts:

• Dental insurance benefit levels have not increased significantly in 30 years. In the 1970s, insurance benefits plus the patient co-payment was generally sufficient to restore an entire mouth! Today, this amount will barely cover a single tooth. Most insurance plans are capped at $1,000 to $1,500 per calendar year per family member in your plan.

• Unlike many general health insurance benefits, dental procedures are never covered 100%. Insurance is only an aid. Think of it as a rebate or discount. If you have dental insurance coverage consider yourself fortunate!

• Most insurance companies are too focused on their bottom line to have the patient's best interest in mind. They do everything possible to delay reimbursement of your money that you have pre-paid to them through your insurance premiums.
